1st-5th: Students took a look at de Soto's travels through Ga.

HW: Students should read SS8H1c from the teacher notes and take Cornell Notes.

7th:  We are starting a new unit today that will cover Ga's government.  Students took notes on the structure and key concepts of Ga's government.

HW: Students are to read page 130 in their yellow book and complete the fill in the blank on pg 131.

1st-5th: Today we reviewed our SS8G1 quiz.  We will retake the quiz tomorrow after remediation.  Students also took notes on a lecture over SS8H1a (Pre-historic native american tribes.)

Periods 1-6: Today in class we went over all of standard SS8G1.  Students received the Teacher Notes as a supplement to their personal notes.  FORMATIVE QUIZ TOMORROW over all of SS8G1.


Period 7 - Students will complete a map of Georgia's Regions and Physical Features.  We will begin working on our Prehistoric Cultures notes.

Periods 1-6
- Today we will be working on our "Georgia on my Mind" presentations.  We will finish those up tomorrow.
- HW: Read and take Cornell Notes over pgs 36-43 in the textbook.  You may want to compare your notes with the Chapter Summary on pg. 46.
- Students need to bring a small spiral bound notebook to class.  We will begin keeping a journal of warm-up writing assignments each day.
- QUIZ: We will have a quiz over SS8G1a,b,c, and d on Thursday at the beginning of class.  This will NOT be open note.
